NOTE: Users are cautioned not to use their browser’s
navigation buttons (“back button”, etc.), but to only use SCOUT©’s navigation
buttons (i.e.,
). Pressing
the F11 key on your keyboard will maximize the SCOUT©
application screen and will hide the Browser’s navigation
menu.
1. The Top Banner
At the top of the screen you will see “Entered as: Your
Name and the current date, along with your division/group’s symbol
.
The SCOUT© Suspense Tracker page is divided into two main sections:
1.1 The NAVIGATION Menu
The NAVIGATION Menu on the left-hand side of the page contains links to all the actions you can take within SCOUT© Suspense Tracker (See Figure 2) .

1.2 The Work Space
When you click on an item from the NAVIGATION Menu, whatever action you choose will appear on the right side of the page in the Work Space. For example, if you click on the My Open Tasks link, all of your suspenses will appear in tables in the Work Space window (See Figure 3).

1.3 My Open Tasks Tool Bar
When you click on the My Open Tasks link in the left-hand NAVIGATION menu, there are four tabs at the top of the Work Space Window (See Figure 4).
1.3.1 New suspense
By clicking this tab, you can create a new suspense (See Figure 4). For further instructions on creating a new suspense, please see Step 2 on page 9 of this document.

1.3.2 Help
Clicking the Help tab opens a pop-up window that gives a quick snapshot of how to perform different functions in SCOUT© Suspense Tracker (See Figure 5).

1.3.3 StandIn/Act as
By clicking the Standin/Act as tab, a pop-up window appears with a drop-down list of personnel or org accounts you have been given permission to stand in for (See Figure 6).

1.3.4 Search
Clicking the Search tab opens up another pop-up window, allowing you to search by Subject or Task Type (See Figure 7).

1.3.5 Save as home
One of the new features of SCOUT© Suspense Tracker is the ability to set any of the menu items on the Navigation Menu as your Home Page. This means that whenever you log into SCOUT©, that page will always appear. For instance, if you primarily work on EPRs/OPRs, you can set that page to always open instead of the default My Open Tasks page (See Figure 8).
